Soft Fabric Weights
By:
Mitch Cordover
Challenge:
Accessory Craftsmanship
The weight in the middle is made of suede and is wonderfully soft and lays over even three dimensional things. It weighs just over a pound and clings well to the slipperiest fabric or table surface. It is one of a set.
It's red cousins are make of coated cordura. Originally it was made that way to safely contain the lead shot, but it proved so impervious that I also use it to weigh down soft kites in the field for self launch or for setting up bigger kites in the wind when there is no sand. The bright color keep them from getting lost on the soccer pitch I fly on.
It's big brothers are 4 pounds and lined with a polypropylene bag because it is also filled with lead shot.
